伊布在自己的速度狩猎Instagram上發布了一張獵豹和狗賽跑的圖片，隻見幾隻狗已經開始狂奔，伊布用于而獵豹卻依然待在起點處並未跑動。猎豹伊布表示 ：“狗和獵豹 。无需照片顯示的证明是一場狗和獵豹之間的速度比賽 ，證明誰才是比狗速度最快的 。每個人都很驚訝獵豹沒有離開起點，速度狩猎因此他們詢問比賽組織者發生了什麽 。伊布用于比賽組織者看到這張照片後的猎豹回答是 ：‘有時試圖證明你是最好的 ，這是无需一種侮辱 。’”
伊布接著說 ：“我們不需要把自己降低到其他人的水平 ，讓他們明白我才是最強的 。想想吧 ，把自己的能量儲存起來才是自己應該做的 。獵豹隻會用自己的速度去狩獵，而不是為了向狗證明誰才是最快最強的 。不要浪費你的時間來證明你的價值。”
伊布此前曾說過 ：“如果單輪球員的個人實力，我不比梅西C羅差 。金球獎？是金球獎需要我 ，而不是我需要金球獎 。”在新賽季傷愈複出後的首場比賽 ，伊布就取得進球 ，他已經連續24個賽季取得進球 ，即將40歲的伊布依然寶刀不老 。
