在35輪的早場比賽中 ，亞特蘭大與那不勒斯分別取勝 ，而在與尤文的比賽中，米蘭笑到了最後 ，客場3-0大勝斑馬軍 ，把握了贏得前四的主動權。盡管米蘭贏得這場關鍵比賽的勝利的，但是為了獲勝，米蘭也付出了巨大的代價——伊布受傷下場 。
其實早在上半場 ，伊布就被對手打破了後腦勺 。第39分鍾 ，多納魯馬大腳長傳，德利赫特在中場附近與伊布頭球爭頂 ，前者的頭部撞到了伊布的後腦 ，伊布倒地 ，隨後因為後腦出血下場短暫治療 。而在回到球場後 ，我們可以發現伊布的後腦上貼著膠布 。
比賽下半場，伊布屢次遭遇對方的犯規 ，比賽第64分鍾 ，伊布在沒有身體對抗的情況下倒地 。倒地後的伊布一度非常痛苦 ，隨後就被換下場 。而在下場後 ，伊布一直與隊醫就膝蓋問題進行討論 。伊布是米蘭的主力中鋒 ，也是中鋒位置為數不多的選擇 ，他的受傷對於米蘭來說不是好消息 。
