北京時間11月26日晚，官方意甲AC米蘭俱樂部官方宣布，米兰與主帥皮奧利續約至2023年6月30日。宣布续约选项米蘭官方表示 ，皮奥合同中還包含著延長一年的利至選項 。
據著名記者迪馬濟奧透露 ，含延皮奧利在續約之後將獲得大幅漲薪 ，长年年薪由240萬歐元增加至最高400萬歐元 ，官方其中320萬歐元為基礎年薪 ，米兰此外還有80萬歐元的宣布续约选项浮動獎金 。
現年56歲的皮奥皮奧利自2019年10月開始出任米蘭主帥，迄今為止率隊出戰106場比賽 ，利至成績為61勝25平20負。含延上賽季 ，长年米蘭在皮奧利的官方率領下強勢複蘇獲得意甲亞軍 ，時隔7年得以重新征戰歐冠賽場 。
本賽季，雖然米蘭在歐冠小組賽中磕磕絆絆 ，前三輪三戰全負 ，五輪過後隻取得了4分 ，出線形勢並不明朗 。但在意甲聯賽中，米蘭13戰10勝2平1負 ，並且在前12輪中保持不敗 ，積32分 ，僅以淨勝球的劣勢排名第二 。
據悉 ，皮奧利與米蘭的合同此前簽到了2022年，本次續約隻延長了一年，這是基於雙方各自的意願而決定的 。如果米蘭在未來的發展符合各方的預期 ，那麽雙方將再次討論續約事宜 。
