但朗尼克並不想隻當執教半個賽季的加入绩达臨時主帥 ，他提出在合同中加入一個特殊條款 ，特殊条款如果本賽季曼聯的成績能夠達到一定標準，希望自己得到轉正的機會，在下賽季繼續執教曼聯。而著名足球記者羅馬諾也透露 ：“如果曼聯想要讓他擔任正式主帥，朗尼克也是有興趣的 。”
不過目前曼聯還沒有接受朗尼克的這個要求 ，他們為朗尼克提供的是一份到2024年的合同 ，在本賽季擔任球隊臨時主帥 ，而之後的兩個賽季則作為俱樂部顧問 。不過曼聯已經承諾 ，朗尼克在擔任俱樂部顧問之後 ，可以在引援和俱樂部發展方麵獲得權利 ，這和目前朗尼克在莫斯科火車頭俱樂部的權利類似 。
