早在此前12強賽進行期間 ，足協方麵的人士告訴記者：“關於國家隊主教練的相關預案 ，我們肯定是做了各方麵的準備的，這也是足協正常的工作 ，這好比聯賽的開啟 ，以及國足的主場確定問題 ，我們都是做了多個預案 ，進行了多手的準備 。”如今 ，換帥的聲音不絕於耳，足協的預案自然就有可能要變成方案 ，並可能正式實施。
據足球報記者陳永透露 ：李鐵下課的可能性已越來越大 ，國足換帥已經進入倒計時 ，概率99%。
