今年中國足壇麵臨震蕩 ，落实限薪之下金元足球退潮，足改足球大牌外援 、条们态度外教紛紛離開 ，悲观俱樂部中性名改革 ，金元积极多家職業俱樂部解散……對於這個變局，落实區楚良和馬德興都沒有抱著悲觀的足改足球態度 。
馬德興首先抨擊了衛冕中超冠軍江蘇隊的条们态度解散 ，他認為職業足球俱樂部是悲观一個公共產品 ，不是金元积极企業的私產。“一個職業足球俱樂部要對當地城市和足球文化負擔起傳承的落实責任感。江蘇隊的足改足球退出 ，一下子讓江蘇足球‘斷子絕孫’ ，条们态度不光一線隊沒了 ，悲观連多個年齡段的金元积极青訓梯隊都毀掉了 ！”
區楚良認為 ，“金元足球”的狂飆突進對中國足球人來說確實虛度了十年 ，但積極的方麵就是令中國職業足球在亞洲乃至世界範圍內擴大了影響力 ，而且促使各職業足球俱樂部過去10年在青訓方麵的投入增加了很多 。“足球有自己滯後性的規律 ，眼前幹的10年是為了後麵10年做鋪墊。比如廣州隊雖然這兩年不再大投入於一線隊 ，但他們還是保持大投入青訓方麵 。”區楚良說 。
至於俱樂部中性名的改革 ，馬德興認為各家俱樂部某種程度上對此事就是抱著一種對付的態度。“本來俱樂部中性名稱的更改是貫徹落實‘足改50條’（《中國足球改革發展總體方案》）所必須執行的一點 。2017年、2018年就應該完成的，但一直拖到今年。”馬德興說。同時 ，馬德興認為俱樂部的股權和俱樂部運營公司的股權是兩回事 ，前者應該在民政體係注冊 ，後者應該在工商體係注冊 。現在把兩者混為一談了 ，運營公司倒閉了 ，俱樂部不應該倒閉。
