此前 ，西媒行中歐超聯賽已經擱淺 ，支退其中的出队超计9支創始球隊已經宣布退出歐超。但是没出西班牙媒體《機密報》曝出了歐超成立時簽訂的合同 ，盡管9支球隊宣布退出 ，售股但是份欧這些球隊並未出售自己在超級聯賽的股份。也就是划依說 ，超級聯賽所有成員依然還在，旧进其實項目仍在進行 。西媒行中
北京時間4月18日 ，支退歐超聯賽宣布正式成立，出队超计英超的没出BIG6 、意甲的售股國米 、米蘭與尤文，份欧以及西甲的划依皇馬、巴薩和馬競成為了創始球隊 。但是歐超的成立引發了歐足聯以及國際足聯的強烈反對 ，這些球隊的球員也被威脅會禁止參加國家隊的比賽 。另外 ，一些政要也在公開場合表示反對歐超聯賽 。
最終英超6支球隊集體退出 ，隨後馬競 、國米 、米蘭也宣布退出歐超 ，僅有皇馬 、巴薩以及尤文圖斯三支球隊堅守歐超陣地 。
前不久 ，歐足聯宣布了對退出的9支球隊的處罰 ，並且表示對皇馬 、巴薩以及尤文三支球隊的處罰程序已經啟動 ，三支球隊也在官網對歐足聯的做法進行了強烈的抵製。而在北京時間31日 ，歐超聯賽以違反歐盟競技法為由 ，將歐足聯與國際足聯上訴至歐洲法院，歐洲法院目前已受理該案件 。
西班牙媒體《機密報》通過自己的途徑得到了超級聯賽的合同，《機密報》表示 ，盡管很多俱樂部宣布退出 ，但他們並未出售自己在超級聯賽的股份 。從法律的角度看 ，這場投資協議依然有效力 。這些退出的球隊也沒有在法庭宣布終止合同 ，也就是說 ，超級聯賽所有成員依然還在 ，盡管有不同的說法 ，但其實項目仍在進行 。
同時《機密報》還曝光了歐超聯賽12支球隊簽訂合同的當事人 。皇馬方麵是弗洛倫蒂諾 、巴薩是拉波爾塔 、尤文是阿涅利 ，而國米方麵則是球隊的主席張康陽。
