據韓國媒體Goal.com報道：中國國家隊目前正在經曆一係列的韩媒和阿换挫折，在12強賽的嘲讽耻辱10場比賽中，中國隊僅取得了一場勝利 。中国在國際足聯公布的队战3月國家隊排名中 ，中國隊錄得1304.02分，仅胜比上月下降9.79分，排名下降兩位至第77位。曼互在亞足聯排名第10位。韩媒和阿换
在上個月進行的嘲讽耻辱12強賽最後兩輪比賽中 ，中國隊均未能取勝 ，中国先是队战1-1戰平沙特 ，隨後在收官戰中0-2負於阿曼 ，仅胜以1勝3平6負積6分的排名成績獲得B組第5名 。
值得一提的曼互是 ，即便唯一的韩媒和阿换一場勝利，也隻是3-2勉強戰勝了小組排名墊底的越南隊 ，然而 ，在來到越南隊的主場後，中國隊以1-3遭遇了一場屈辱的慘敗，不得不麵對國內媒體和球迷的嚴厲批評 。
目前中國隊的FIFA排名為第77位 ，而作為中國隊12強賽最後一場比賽的對手 ，阿曼隊的排名和中國隊發生了逆轉 ，後者的積分上升23.16分 ，排名上升4位至第75位 ，中國隊則麵臨跌出世界前80的危險 。
由於下屆世界杯將擴軍為48支球隊 ，所以 ，中國隊希望借此實現第二次進軍世界杯的夢想 ，然而 ，中國隊目前在亞洲排名第10 ，這個排名即使是在擴軍的情況下，也不可能打進世界杯 。對此，中國媒體也評論稱 ：我們必須在未來的國際比賽中取得好成績 ，並共同努力在接下來的世界杯預選賽中有所作為 。”(編輯 劉水土)
